45 South is Palmerston's newest restaurant and fish and chip shop. 45 South is on the Main Street of Palmerston by the Waihemo lodge. The shop was officially opened on December the 15 2005. Tahi Miller and Tina Liddall own 45 South. It is open 7 days a week from 6am in the morning until 10pm. The name of the person that came up with idea of 45 South is Kent Liddall. 45 South often gets truckies and locals in buying food. It cost about $250,000 dollars to transform it from a BP petrol station to 45 South. They put artwork on the walls for decoration and because locals wanted to sell their paintings. Well before Tina and Kent Liddall came along it used to be a BP petrol station. If you are passing through Palmerston remember to stop at 45 South for a refreshing drink, a scrumptious snack and a friendly smile. |
