The wetlands are up at Macraes Mine. The wetlands are a tourist and an animal attraction and have been created to draw animals and wildlife back to the mined area.

The wetlands used to be an old rundown gold field. So people planted grass and shrubs for animals and for tourists to come. The wetlands has an astonishing view that you'll never forget.

At the wetlands you can go for walks along the tracks and do what we did and see how many different birds and animals you can spot.
