Fraser's pit is the biggest hole in New Zealand.
Fraser's pit is an open cast mine which means that the mining is done above ground
The different jobs involved at the mine include miners, drillers, drivers, geologists, plant operators and bomb crew.
In 2007 the underground mine started.
There is enough space in the underground tunnel to put two trucks side by side.
Underground miners came from Australia because there hadn't been any underground mining before at Macraes.
This Concrete sprayer puts concrete on the underground tunnel walls and roof to stop the rock from falling down.
