Research and inquiry process
We have been using the inquiry process as way of learning about our history, library and community. We have learnt to ask high order questions that helped to give us information for our research.
During our inquiry we investigated our own family history, history of Miramar and our school. Our inquiry led us on a journey outside of our school into our community. We got to visit the National Library, Alexander Turnbull Library, Catholic Centre Wellington Diocese Archives and Cathedral of The Scared Heart. We were able to make connections to all of these places as they held links to who we are, our history and our faith.
We interviewed people who had experience of our school, our library and local area and asked them questions. We used books and the internet to carry out research.
