Mahofi

My name is Mahofi and I am 7 years old. I am in Year 3 at Waterlea School. Both my parents were born in Niue. My two sisters were born there too but I was born in New Zealand. I have been to Niue once. My dad's parents, my grandparents, still live in Niue as well as aunties, uncles and cousins.

At celebrations and when someone dies, we always have an umu in our garden.

I like it when my Nana brings uga and coconut back from the island.

The Special Beach

Once upon a time I woke up on a mysterious beach.There were bikes around me. The sun was shining in my eyes. When I woke up I felt safe. I felt very peaceful here and I just lay down sleeping for a long long time.
