Our team

Introducing our team - the magnificent Ruma Wha of Hikurangi School. We are a composite Yr 5-6 class of 23 students and in term two of this year we became a fully digital classroom.

Our social inquiry for term three was looking at the past and present and their influences on possible futures. After a visit to our local museum we decided we would choose an aspect of our town’s history to research. We were able to use local information sources (the museum ladies and our kuia) as well as the library and the technology available on our chromebooks. We formed small groups according to what we were researching and worked collaboratively to produce the pages for the Living Heritage website. We would like to thank Eric and Barbara from Living Heritage for their help in getting our Hikurangi Histories story published.
