Research process
Our whole school contributed to this website. Late in Term 3, our planning team of teachers met to decide on a topic for Term 4. We knew Ashburton was celebrating 150 years of settlement in November and so our topic was formed around this.
Each class began by looking at what a 'treasure' is and then brainstorming treasures around Ashburton. Most classes then used a question map to come up with inquiry questions to answer. Some classes had a class question which they investigated together, others had small groups or even individuals researching questions.
