Gilshennan Reserve Pollution Investigation
Curriculum Links
This project tied in with the topic we were studying - an inquiry on how we could care for our local environment. We decided to do investigate pollution in a park near our school, Gilshennan Reserve.
We wanted to find out if it is polluted, and if so, to what extent? Gilshennan Reserve is special to us because it is close to our school; close to where many of us live; our school syndicate was planning to take a trip there to possibly clean it up; it is named after someone in our community.
Our class is an 'Adventure Classroom' with seven computers, and we do lots of class work using different ICT tools and computer software. Our group was chosen to take part in this website project as an extension of the work we have already done in class. We are very proud of what we have accomplished!
