Our playground in Island Bay

K8 at Island Bay School love going to the park.

They go there after school on weekends and whenever they can to play in the big house and go down the big slide. They all call it "Our Park in Island Bay".

At school, the children always shared their adventures at "Our Park" for news daily.

So when told that it was really called "Shorland Park" they were not impressed and wanted to know why.

From there the questions started to flow and an inquiry developed.
