Little spotted kiwis arriving by helicopter.
-
The year 6 students in our school visited Tiritiri Matangi and asked the volunteers about how Tiritiri Matangi first started, its history, birds and how they're helping the birds.
-
Then our team brainstormed all our existing knowledge.
-
We put what we knew into questions.
-
In groups, we searched the internet for more information.
-
Next we got information out of a book called The Singing Island. (The authors are the grandparents of one of our classmates.)
-
We then had to get permission to put a painting we found onto the website, so we drafted what we were going to say to the artist and then rang him.
- Then the team learned how to use the school scanner and how to put the information onto our Living Heritage website.
